Why Most people don't Use Google To its Fullest and One easy Step To fix that problem

Google is one of the greatest modern tools. Since its founding in 1998, it has gathered millions of gigabytes of data and uses that information to help each user find what they need including you. But Google isn’t a magic genie: it can’t bring customers to your door just because you asked it to. It depends on the information you give it to serve up the right match.

Unfortunately, there’s no detailed user manual for Google especially when it comes to Google Business Profile setup. That’s where you come in. Many people haven’t completed their Business Profile fully (I did the same when I started). Over time I learned that every detail matters: the more information you give Google, the better it can serve you.

There are many reasons why.

  • There are many fields that seem unimportant or optional.

  • they are busy focusing on the day‑to‑day and may not prioritize their Business Profile.

  • They may assume “My profile is done” when in fact many details remain incomplete.

  • Without full completion, the profile gets less traction. For example, Google states that “businesses with complete and accurate info are more likely to show up in local search results.”

This is the lowest-hanging fruit for 99% of businesses. Most profiles are only half-done, and that’s why they’re not ranking. When you complete every section of your profile accurately and thoroughly you start showing up more often and higher in local search and Maps results. The best part is. IF 99% aren’t doing and you are? You’re way ahead of the game.

Here’s a quick personal story that proves it:

I was visiting a client’s shop one day. While I was there, I pulled up Google Maps to check how they were showing up. Guess what? They didn’t even appear on the first page.

So, we went through their Google Business Profile together. We filled out the missing fields, added updated photos, clarified their categories, and rewrote their business description.

Within two weeks, they jumped into the top ten on Google Maps just from completing their profile.

It was a night-and-day difference. The same results can happen for you.

I understand  you’re busy running your business. Updating your Google profile probably isn’t #1 on your to-do list.

That’s why we offer a free personalized Loom video, walking you through your current Google Business Profile with exact recommendations tailored to your business. It’s quick, actionable, and designed to help you get visible fast.

If you’re not seeing results from Google, it’s not because it doesn’t work, it's because you haven’t given it enough to work with. Start by fully completing your Google Business Profile. It’s the easiest, fastest, and most effective step you can take to show up higher in searches and maps.

Just like my client did, you could go from invisible to frontpage in two weeks.
